Ardleigh Surgery update

As we move into the next phase of this pandemic, Ardleigh Surgery is continuing to monitor the guidelines and provide services that are safe for both our patients and staff.

We will continue to provide a dedicated telephone prescription ordering line until the end of this pandemic. The prescription line is open Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm, however we would still encourage patients to register for online services, this can be done by calling reception.
Please allow 5 days for your prescription when ordering

The dispensary will be open to collect prescriptions 10am – 12pm and 3pm – 5pm Monday to Friday. Please come to the window and you prescription will be passed out to you. If you pay for your prescription please ensure you have the correct money, £9.15 per item.
When waiting for your prescription please remember to stand 2m away from other patients

Our staff and Doctors are working on site and here for any medical needs or queries you may have. Please call the surgery as normal and you will be placed on a telephone triage list and get a call back. The clinician will speak to you and discuss your problem and decide if you need to be seen. Please do not be concerned if you are asked to attend the surgery, social distancing arrangements are in place to make sure you are safe and protected. If you have a face shield please wear this when you come in.

We continue to provide nursing care from our Dedham site, the process is the same, if you need an appointment please call the Ardleigh site and depending on what the appointment is for you will either be given an appointment or a Nurse will ring you back.

For all appointments you will be asked by the receptionist the reason for your call. The reception staff are working on instruction from the Doctors, so they can put your call with the most appropriate person. Please do not get cross with the receptionist for asking

Please do not turn up at either site (unless collecting a prescription) without a pre arranged appointment or ringing first

Although the government guidance is changing, anyone in the high risk or shielding group (received letter from NHS) should continue to shield until 30th June. However, if you have a scheduled hospital or other medical appointment during this period, talk to your GP or specialist to ensure you continue to receive the care you need

Monday 25th May is a bank holiday and the surgery will be closed, if you have an urgent medical situation please call 111 or in cases of emergency call 999

On a more positive note, Dr Philippa Outtridge became a Partner in the practice from the 1st April, we are all delighted to have Dr Outtridge as a Partner alongside Dr Cole and Dr Lenart

We are very grateful to everyone for their understanding, support and help through this difficult time. We are monitoring the situation on a daily basis and continue to adapt and change in line with NHS guidance

Stay alert and stay safe
