Telephone lines are open from 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.

Out of Hours Service

If you require urgent medical care or advice whilst the surgery is closed, please telephone 111 for advice. This call is free from landlines. The 111 service will be able to offer you advice or transfer you to the Out of Hours GP Service if they feel you need to be seen.

Accident & Emergency Department

This is located at Colchester General Hospital (Turner Road, Colchester, CO4 5JL) and is available 24 hours a day, every day. You should go straight to A&E for the following illnesses/injuries:

• Chest pain
• Heavy bleeding
• Suspected stroke
• Unusual shortness of breath
• Loss of consciousness
• Major injury / major accident
• Anything you feel is life threatening

Please do not attend A&E for any minor problem.

Did you know that we offer appointments on a Saturday?

Patients have the opportunity to see a doctor and a wide range of clinicians on a Saturday from 9am till 5pm!

Every weekend, our enhanced access service is held at a different branch location – upcoming clinics in December are:

• Saturday 7th December – Colne Medical Centre
• Saturday 14th December – Wivenhoe Medical Centre
• Saturday 21st December – Riverside Health Centre
• Saturday 28th December – Rowhedge Medical Practice

These clinics are by pre-bookable appointment only. Speak to your branch reception team for more information!
